Premature and newborn babies suffer from a lack of intensive care unit availability in public hospitals due to the immense pressure in the region and the limited resources of the public healthcare sector. Their lives are at risk while waiting for placement in specialized incubators, which are available in private hospitals. However, many families face financial difficulties and cannot afford the high costs of care. We cover these costs to ensure their survival within those incubators.
